The farm

|
Schoonderzicht is 22 ha and situated high up the slopes of the Witzenberg, approx. 500m above sea level,
where a mountain stream feeds the watertanks and two dams with clear blue springwater. Schoonderzicht is
not a working farm, although fruit trees like peaches, apricots, apples, almonds, macadamian nuts and
oranges were planted in the English garden, together with lots of Aloë and colourful roses. In 2002 stables
and paddocks were built. Schoonderzicht also has a vegetable and herb garden. Early 2004 Niki and Rijk van
Kooij from Rotterdam, the Netherlands, became the proud owners of this beautiful farm. They developed it into
a guest farm, where overnight sleeps, moonlight dinners and braais, high tea's, chocolate tastings and picnics
make it a memorable visit.
